Summary of the High Holy Day
Adult Worship Service Options
 

Two different Adult Worship Services will be offered again this year.  In addition to our Standard Holy Day service which begins at 11:30 am, we are offering a Tefilah Chadasha (New Worship) at 8:45 am on the first day of Rosh Hashanah and on Yom Kippur.  What follows is a comparison of the two service formats.

 

 Standard Adult Worship Service (Begins at 11:30 AM)

 Liturgy Maintains current liturgy from Gates of Repentance
 Music Maintains music from past years using Cantor and Choir
 Sermon Holy Day length and depth
 Children

No Children's Worship or programming.(babysitting available ONLY with prior reservations.  We are sorry that we will not be able to provide babysitting for unregistered children).

 Length  Approximately 2 1/2 hours

 

Tefilah Chadasha - New Adult Worship Service (Begins at 8:45 am)
Service                           Stronger emphasis on congregational participation in reading and singing
Liturgy Updated Gates of Repentance service with selected alternate readings
Music Cantor lead with high congregational participation
Sermon Shabbat length and depth
Children

Concurrent Children's Worship and Educational Programming in Meeting Room and Religious School classrooms (babysitting available ONLY with prior reservations. We are sorry that we will not be able to provide babysitting for unregistered children).
