Over the years Temple Shalom has been blessed with continuous growth. From a tight-knit, dedicated group of a dozen families who founded the temple in 1960, our membership has expanded to more than 500 families. From generation to generation, l'a dor va dor, the temple has provided continuity, caring, and community in times of need, in times of joy, in times of sorrow. We are truly a family. And as a family grows . . . New Generations Have New Expectations. To explore, to define, and to meet those expectations, Temple Shalom has dedicated itself to A Time for Renewal - a time to evolve our building's capabilities to meet our escalating needs. As a result of this dedication,180 families have already committed $2,206,853. To view a Powerpoint Presentation of the renovation please click here. Today our temple is far more than a sanctuary, a place of worship. It is also a school, a place of learning for adults as well as children, a gathering place, a center for social action . . . for tzedakah . . . for community. Our members today and new generations of congregants hope and expect their temple to provide . . .
