Today is June 1, 2020 -
March 13, 2020
Temple Shalom Families,
Temple Shalom is taking proactive steps and make the decision to temporarily close for the remainder of March, at a minimum. This closure is due in part to CDC guidelines of mitigating community spread outbreaks. While there remains no known cases of coronavirus illness in the local community or among our congregation, we need to be vigilant for our fellow congregants, Rabbi and office staff as well as potential outside visitors in protecting against the possible spread and transmission of the coronavirus.
Temple Shalom will reinvent itself yet again and continue to find new and innovative ways to keep us all connected during these very difficult times.
Please take note of the following immediate changes and notifications:

We are in the process of ordering industrial disinfectant cleaners to thoroughly prepare the Temple for a potential opening in April.
Once again, Temple Shalom appreciates your understanding during these uncertain times as we are working diligently to get Temple Shalom’s spiritual and social life back in action as we pave the way to hopefully celebrate our 60th anniversary in May. Please stay tuned to your email for ongoing Temple Shalom communications regarding future updates. All updated news and alerts will also be made available on the Temple Shalom website www.tshalom.org.
While the building will be closed for members and we can’t interact physically, we will continue our learning and worshiping virtually. Our spiritual connection is stronger than the pandemic. We will continue to be supportive of each other. Please don’t hesitate to reach out to either Rabbi Inna Serebro-Litvak, Eric Levine, 1st Vice President or Jennifer Gangi, Temple Administrator with any questions, ideas and suggestions. We encourage all congregants to contact us if you have other ideas as how to stay connected remotely. Eric Levine can be reached at email@example.com or 862-254-6587. For those of you registered with ShulCloud you can access a membership directory to stay in contact with your Temple friends.
If you have a pastoral emergency, please contact the Rabbi directly: 917-748-0730
We will get through these difficult times together. Temple Shalom will provide periodic updates regarding our status and reassess based on the most relevant information available. Stay healthy!
