Welcome to Temple Shalom

At Temple Shalom, we celebrate Reform Judaism in words and music, through action and interaction, with emphasis on Jewish traditions.

We embrace our Jewish identity through Nefashot, our passion to touch the hearts and souls of everyone around us. We are a supportive, caring extended family, welcoming all and serving a broad area of northwestern New Jersey.

Our lives are enriched by: Jewish education for youth and adults; spiritual, personal and communal growth; and Tikkun Olam, tangible actions for the betterment of the world.

NOW IT’S OUR TURN

It is Temple Shalom's 60th anniversary! Athough we will not be celebrating in the grand style that we had planned, we will not be denied nor discouraged.  Sixty years is six decades of Kehilla, a sacred community of families dedicated to each other and Jewish spirituality, education, music and Tikkun Olam, healing the world!

Please take 10 minutes of your time to explore our rich history, our 60 years of accomplishments and understand how we are uniquely positioned for success going forward. We have very good reasons to be proud!

After you have watched the video, please consider making a donation to our Spring/Summer 2020 fundraising drive in a manner that is right for you. Those who came before us laid the foundation of what Temple Shalom has become today... a vibrant, active, caring and engaging congregation of two hundred plus families.

Covid Update

June 5, 2020

Temple Shalom Families,

Temple Shalom is still closed but is taking steps towards reopening.  We are working closely with Roxbury PD to make sure we will be compliant with all state and local guidelines.  We will continue to post updates on our website.

Temple Shalom will reinvent itself yet again and continue to find new and innovative ways to keep us all connected during these very difficult times.  Temple Shalom appreciates your understanding during these uncertain times as we are working diligently to get Temple Shalom's spiritual and social life back in action. Please stay tuned to your email for ongoing Temple Shalom communications regarding future updates.
